北京时间1月12日，广州工商学院东北州立联合科技学院在花都校区图书馆412会议厅顺利召开2023-2024学年学术委员会第一次会议。广州工商学院校长王日华、美国东北州立大学临时助理副校长Dr. Iain Anderson等联合科技学院学术委员会全体委员出席会议。

会上，美国东北州立大学临时助理副校长、新任联合科技学院学术委员会委员Dr. Iain Anderson代表美方致辞。他对中方团队的辛勤工作表示感谢，并期待双方能够加强学术上的交流与合作，共创学术佳绩。

联合科技学院副院长、学术委员会委员侯凤雄介绍学院第一学期高质量教学工作开展情况。同时，为妥善开展教学工作，讨论下学期引进美方课程的开课计划和授课安排完成情况。

会议最后，双方就联合科技学院的教学科研、综合教学管理、人才培养、课程安排等主题开展自由讨论，共同探讨中美合作办学新方法新模式，致力于培养具有国际视野与竞争力的高级应用型人才。

On January 12, the first Academic Committee Meeting of the GCTB-NSU Joint Institute of Technologyfor the 2023-2024 academic year was successfully held.

Dr. Iain Anderson, Interim Assistant Vice President of NSU, and newAcademic Committeememberdelivered a speech. He expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the Chinese team and looked forward to strengthening academic exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to create excellent academic achievement.

Prof. Hou Feng-Hsiungintroduced the first semester of high-quality teaching work of the college to the members of the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the members of both sides discussed freely on the topics of teaching and research, comprehensive teaching management, talent cultivation, curriculum arrangement, etc., and jointly explored newmethods and modes of cooperative teachingbetween China and the U.S., and committed to cultivating high-level applied talents with an international perspective and competitiveness.
