Hello, my name is Rodney Hanley, President of Northeastern State University. I want to thank you for considering GCTB-NSU Joint Institute of Technology at Guangzhou College of Technology and Business as your higher education institution of choice. This is truly a fantastic opportunity to study with two globally respected education leaders.

Founded in 1846 by the Cherokee Nation, Northeastern State University is one of the leading universities in Oklahoma and one of the first universities in the United States recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Our foundation as a Native American institution of education provides us with a unique perspective allowing NSU to graduate more Native American students than any other institution in the United States.

We are proud of our continued success and are committed to creating the best possible experience for all of our students. Our university places a strong emphasis on international education and offers a variety of scholarships for international scholars each year.

By participating in the GCTB-NSU Joint Institute of Technology at Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, you will have the opportunity to earn bachelor’s degrees at NSU. Our partnership prepares students for high-demand careers in Data Science and Big Data Technology, Communication Engineering and Software Engineering through cutting-edge knowledge and industry trends.

It is with great honor that the Ministry of Education in China approved our partnership as one of only two approved partnerships in the United States for 2022. This approval is a direct recognition of NSU’s high quality of education, investment in international education, and support from my administrative team. The institution now has two classes of students enrolled. Northeast State University provides excellent faculty to teach here in person. Students can enjoy educational resources from the US without leaving China. They can have a sense of fulfillment and pride of their learning experience here.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a student at the GCTB-NSU Joint Institute of Technology. I hope you will embrace the opportunities that come with it as you join the family of Northeastern State University and Guangzhou College of Technology and Business and become part of the next chapter in our long history.
